For those of you that know Leslie over at Life in its Ordinary Form you'll recognize her in these pics! we used to spend our weekends trying to think of "cool" picture ideas so we could post them on myspace and get as many comments as possible. oh man. we were such dorks. but it was so incredibly fun. i texted her and we got the idea of how fun it would be to post a throwback post. so here it is!

commit to it!

so i know im a little late on the new years resolutions lists BUT i came across this daily pep talk and felt quite inspired! heres the pep talk:

Commit to it.

Pep Talk: You want to do it. You dream of doing it. You spend time (that maybe should be spent doing other things) thinking of doing it. I’m not talking about sex… well, not necessarily. I’m talking about that change you want to make and that trip you want to take and that life you want to lead. Start now. Make a commitment to your dreams and they’ll come true. Put aside a quarter today and soon you’ll have a dollar, then a thousand. Start a dating profile and soon people will be asking you out. If you want to go somewhere, go. There are no limits on you.

Today remind yourself: Commit to it.

i LOVE this! i do this all the time! thinking how cool it would be if i did this or did that! and i do have my bucket list with my best friend ashley but I wanted some personal goals and i WILL accomplish them. the are reasonable, beneficial, and necessary. and here they are:

1. FIX my posture, not work on.. not improve.. FIX!

2. work out twice a week.. not to lose weight.. but to be healthy and feel good about myself. this ALSO helps goal #1 ;) double wammy.

3. save more money. at least $20 a month. i know this sounds small but I am a college student with NO job! 20 is a good step for me.. and right now its more about establishing the habit of saving than the actual amount.

4. get a summer job! no more laying around the house, tanning by the pool every day, sleeping in till noon summer days. its not productive and though it may sound like bliss.. it.is.boring. and having a job would allow me to.... Save More Money! =)

5. text less. call more. texting is lame. it lacks human connection which is something i think is seriously affecting our generation. am i alone in that? i mean there are some seriously socially awkward people and i can't help but think texting, instant messaging, fbook, etc has helped to contribute to that.

welp thats all i've got so far! and i WILL accomplish them! =)) i hope everyone has a wonderful friday! yayyy end of the week!

WILW

i'm linking up with Jamie at this kind of love for the first time today! so here goes!

well, thats all! i hope everyone had a lovely wednesday!

when it rains...it pours!

out of all the days of my life.. yesterday was not one of the best!

Sunday night i was up late browsing for new books on barnes and noble since i finished The Help by Katherine Sockett and it was sooooo good! as i was browsing all of the sudden my computer beeps and goes black. i thought huh.. thats weird.. it couldn't have died because its plugged in. so i take the battery out and put it back in.. it wont turn on.. i plug it in a different outlet.. still nothing. now im freaking out. i had JUST taken all the pics off of my memory card and put them on my computer!

just.my.luck.

so the next day my dad calls his computer friend who says it sounds like a bad motherboard WHICH costs more to replace than to buy a new computer BUT he can get all my files off my computer.. thank.goodness. so we drive the computer to hartwell to discover yes.. my computer is a goner. rip computer. i almost shed a tear! what in the world was i gonna do when i had to go back to school the NEXT day??

just to add insult to injury, lately my phone has been acting funny.. not sending messages, sending messages full of numbers, locking up..etc. so i called verizon for a replacement. well what do you know.. on the way home from hartwell my phone turns off and WONT TURN BACK ON! i was irate. seriously fuming. i cant go to school with NO computer and NO phone! is this a joke???

LUCKILY today really looked up! wes came to my rescue and is letting me borrow his netbook while we look for a new laptop and some miracle was performed last night because my new phone arrived in the mail THIS MORNING! and i called yesterday! i couldn't believe it! thank you verizon! =)

on top of this.. i got to see my niece brookelynn before I left and she is in the LAST stages of NICU and should be home by the end of this week! afterwards my sister and I went to RedLobster! I hate seafood but RL has THE BEST chicken alfredo! and those biscuits are to die for. yum-o.

i ALSO found a reallllyyy amazing pair of skinny jeans at Forever 21. They were only 9.50.... 9.50! and they fit like a glove. you should seriously go get some. they're...pretty cool!

last but not least.. its back to school tomorrow! im gonna try really hard to keep up blogging every other day or every 2 days! i am just so busy! with 9 classes, practicing, and homework it doesnt leave me much time! but im excited to have almost 20 followers! haha yay! so i want to keep it up so i have more!

anyway. im sorry for this very wordy and picture lacking post! i just had to get all that out! =) good luck to everyone who starts classes this week!

It's a New Year

Hey yall.. I had a really fun NYE.. maybe a little too good ;) haha friday afternoon ashley and I went to publix and picked out our champagne.. it was soo good by the way! and ate lunch at our favorite restaurant... ZAXBY'S! mmm! then she had to go to work.. BOO so i sat around untill 10:00 when she got off... i took some pics while waiting.. haha they're pretttyyy amazing..

then i got to ashleys were we were completely sober by the way.. but didn't quite act it ;) before we left for wes's house.. we even had a rave in her kitchen with glo sticks and Ke$ha.. yes.. she was there!

anywho about 11:23 we headed to wes's house for the big countdown.. while there we played dance revolution on the xbox kinect it was really cool.. and i destroyed the solja boy dance =) i may have drank a little to much champ but my good friend ashley stayed sober to drive me home.. where we had some delicious margaritas made by her bro!

i was.... pretty tired.

that was her brothers shot by the way i didn't drink it.. but i thought it was pretty! =)

anywho.. today ashley and I decided to begin our bucket list by going to DQ for blizzards (we're going to try every one on the menu) so tonight I got turtle pecan cluster and she got double fudge cookie dough! =)

nom nom.

and when we got home we found my kitty asleep in my bookshelf! it was... pretty cute!

Last but not least Leslie over at Life in it's Ordinary Form is doing a giveaway! Some awesome OPI nailpolish! and who doesn't love nail polish! go follow her awesome blog and enter her giveaway!

and in closing.. if you havent seen the SNL skit "the miley cyrus show" you need to go watch it.. its... pretty cool. watch it HERE! idk if yall like miley but i really loved her until her recent shenanigans so i thought this was.. pretty funny.
