okay.

today

was a day unlike any

other.

Ashley came over today! =)

We were trying to figure out what to do today, and ideas were flying everywhere: bake cupcakes, eat at jasons deli, go see burlesque at the dollar theater, get blizzards, go to UPS, DIY projects, go shopping…

WOAH.!

pump the breaks!

we got a little overwhelmed. we had decided to be more exciting, but, this was a little overkill!

so because I am a little OCD about making list, we decided to make one for what we would accomplish today.

(please note task #1 and #9)

because our food was so freakin delicious, we forgot to take pics at Jason’s deli! but don’t worry, we’ll go back soon!

We arrived at the theater… overwhelmed by the amount of people that wanted to see a movie! there were a total of FIVE cars in the parking lot!

and again.. with the seating.. that was a whole nother issue….

the only place to sit was ON TOP of the seats!

afterwards, we were… pretty excited to take a picture and, well,

if you were thinking magnificent, outstanding, or maybe you were just stunned by the awesomeness radiating from this picture..

its okay.. we understand.

we went to walmart to check off task number six! we got distracted right away with the nail polish.. good thing we got a buggy ;)

it was only one dollar. one. dollar.

then we made our pink lemonade cupcakes.

which I’m kinda sad to announce turned out.. just okay!

BUT we’re going to perfect the recipe and they will be awesome!

hey, its thurday! =)

I haven’t done ANYTHING exciting today! This morning my mom asked me if I would help her out and clean the ENTIRE house for some extra moolah.. so of course I said yes! I’ve got a birthday to celebrate every week of February! plus valentines day! =P

anyway nothing exciting today so here are some pictures and some randomness!

and of course, the beautiful BrookeLynn =)) I bought her some bows the other day! aren’t they precious?!

I also decided one thing i’m gonna get my sister for her birthday NEXT FRIDAY.. yes one week away and I only have one tiny idea! =P This adorable baby book! its disney princess themed!

I also have an idea that i need your help with!

I want to make Bailey a flip book of foot/handprints throughout the year! I want to decorate a page for newborn, 3 months, 6 months, 9 months, and 12 months that has a spot for a picture, and hand and foot prints!

I’m not exactly sure how I want to do it, i’m sure something involving cardstock and ribbon, but does anyone have any idea of some kind of book I could put it in?

WILW

Wow, my blogging has gotten away from me the past couple days! i’ve been a busy bee! But i’m linking up today with Jamie for WILW!

1. I am loving that my teachers are gone on a music conference so I got to come home TODAY! I’m sitting on the couch while my beautiful niece sleeps beside me!

2.  I am loving these cakes i’m going to attempt to make soon! the first is for my sisters 24th bday and the second is for ashleys 21st!

3. I am loving that i’ve already decided what I’m getting ash.. this adorable apron.. and i’m going to get an A embroidered on the front! now if i only knew what to get my sister!

4. Finally, I am loving these dresses! =))

Caramel Macchiato Cheesecake

yesterday I went to starbucks with handsome man Wesley, and I got a caramel mocchiato =) and tonight i came across caramel macchiato cheesecake! =O it looks so good! i’m gonna give this a try soon!

• 2 cups graham cracker crumbs
• 1/2 cup butter, melted
• 2 tablespoons white sugar
• 3 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese, softened
• 1 cup white sugar
• 3 eggs
• 1 (8 ounce) container sour cream
• 1/4 cup brewed espresso or strong coffee
• 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
• pressurized whipped cream
• caramel ice cream topping (or you could get a bottle of starbucks caramel sauce! ;)

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Lightly coat a 9-inch springform pan with nonstick cooking spray.
2. Mix together the graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, and 2 tablespoons of sugar until well combined. Press into the bottom of the prepared springform pan, and 1 inch up the sides. Bake in preheated oven for 8 minutes, then remove to cool on a wire rack.
3. Reduce oven temperature to 325 degrees F.
4. Beat the softened cream cheese in a large bowl with an electric mixer until fluffy. Gradually add 1 cup of sugar, beating until blended. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in sour cream, espresso and vanilla. Pour batter into the baked and cooled crust.
5. Bake cheesecake in the preheated oven for 1 hour and 5 minutes; then turn the oven off, partially open the door and allow the cheesecake to rest for 15 minutes more. Remove from the oven, and run a knife around the edges. Cool cheesecake on a wire rack to room temperature, then cover the springform pan with plastic wrap, and chill in the refrigerator for 8 hours.

weekend recap:

as you saw I had a fabulous girls night with my roomies on friday.

saturday I got to spend all day with my boyfriend! =) we had an awesome time relaxing and enjoying our starbucks!

we came back to my apt and made dinner and watched netflix!

and today we went and got lunch at this Japanese restaurant near my school! Wes tried and failed for the zillionth time to get me to try sushi! i smelled it and.. I just can’t do it! =P yuck!

i got on the scale today…i’ve been dreading it! and found out i lost 2 lbs!! how? i have NO clue.. Japanese, margaritas, and chocolate lava cake must be excellent diet food! ;)

Bottoms Up!

I know I already posted but I love our pics from tonight so i’m posting again! and my last post was pretty boring!

tonight we started out at chick fil a because I saw that LESLIE tweeted they had sweet potato fries now! and i LOVE sweet potato fries! but when we got there.. NO sweet potato fries! =(

after that we decided to go to Applebee’s for drinks and dessert! and i’m gonna warn you.. theres quite a few pics! but I like them all so here we go!

 

i dont remember exactly what this is called.. but its something like chocolate lava cake! yum-o!

Nicole’s mistake martini! She ordered a caramel appletini but they brought her a mango martini? Not sure how you mix those up but it was still realllyyy good!

this is by far the best mixed drink I’ve had! Strawberry-mango frozen margherita! definitely my new fav!

SO. one time, I bit into a lemon.. not my best idea but my roomies got a good laugh out of it, so I got dared to bite into the lime on my drink. and here’s the result. (sorry they’re pretty blurry.. i was moving a lot!) ha
