I have GOT to try these DIY crafts pronto! they are so adorable! i want to spice up my rooms (home and the apartment) and some of these would be perfect!! check em out! I linked all the pics so you can find the tutorials!

1. pom poms!
i think these FABRIC pom poms are so cute! i've made tissue paper pom poms but these look a little nicer! i'm not sure where I'd hang them, but i'd find somewhere! haha any suggestions?

2. heartfelt wreath!
i love this heart wreath! you could do any color to match your room! and its made with FELT! it would be so cheap and looks pretty easy to make too!


3. Be Mine!
this be mine frame is soooo cute! its kinda valentines-y but you could put any word on it for any occasion! I think putting my initials on it would be cute!


4. yarn and felt letters!
i didn't exactly find a tutorial.. just a picture and a place you could buy them. but i think i could figure out a way to make them myself! aren't they cute??


5.Flower Shades
how cute are these? i am a daisy fanatic but the roses are so cute too! i think these would be so cute next to a comfy chair for reading!

In other news..

i made a pound cake yesterday. and its awesome. i got the recipe from one of my moms suuuuper old cookbooks so if anyone wants the recipe let me know. i love pound cake when its got a nice sweet crust on the outside.. and this one.. is perfecto.

Also, on sunday before i got snowed and iced in, i saw this van at our walmart! we have some pretty interesting people around here.. i thought this was pretty funny. i took the pic in my car through the window so people wouldn't think I was the crazy one!

OH! and if you guys haven't already, you need to check out Monogram Chick she has a blog AND a store and all of her stuff is sooooo cute! last week she did a giveaway for her new monogrammed tumblers and i'm so sad I missed it! you can check out the tumblers HERE as well as the rest of the things in her store! i'm in LOVE!




anywho.. I dont really have anything too exciting to say! My book hasnt come from amazon yet and I have cabin fever so bad! I have nothing to do but watch t.v. and movies and of course search the blogging world for hours! haha My parents are about to venture out to the store so i'm hoping they make it back!! at least I don't have school! =) yay!! Blast from the Past!

I know I've already posted once tonight, but i was going through my old myspace, xanga, and picture trail and i found some gems. These pictures are amazing. For those of you that know Leslie over at Life in its Ordinary Form you'll recognize her in these pics! we used to spend our weekends trying to think of "cool" picture ideas so we could post them on myspace and get as many comments as possible. oh man. we were such dorks. but it was so incredibly fun. i texted her and we got the idea of how fun it would be to post a throwback post. so here it is!

oh and i apologize in advance for the ridiculous amount of pictures but they were all so great it was hard to weed through! haha and please.. try to contain your jealousy.. i know i know.. not everyone has pictures this cool! ;)

I was really excited to see that my blog friend Megan over at Mackey Madness gave me the stylish blogger award! her blog is always so cute and so fun to read so if you haven't been to her blog yet, get there asap!

and i've gotta share 7 random facts about myself so here they are:

1. my biggest pet peeve ever is for my feet to be hot. i can't stand it. seriously.. it will keep me up at night! wes makes fun of me all the time because i get a blanket but leave my feet hanging out!
2. I can yodel.. but i havent done it in a reeeeeeally long time so.. im just assuming that I still can! haha
3. i LOVE the disney channel haha Hannah Montana and Wizards of Waverly Place are my favs! ;)
4. i have an older sister who just had her second baby.. so now i have an amazing nephew and niece.
5. i have rearranged my room at least once every year of my life. i can't stand for things to stay the same way!
6. i think i'm a little dyslexic lol.. just with numbers though if thats possible.. I read them backwards and mixed up ALL the time!
7. my grandpa is a professional cellist and has played for my favorite singer of all time, Judy Garland along with Frank Sinatra and Nat King Cole!

i thought i'd give an update on my niece.. she is still in NICU but she is in the last stages of NICU! so we're crossing our fingers she'll be back next weekend! i really want to post pics of her cute bedding and all that but i can't until i get my computer! which i found an awesome one this weekend so we're just making sure its the right one! =) its a lenovo which I had never heard of..but its part of IBM and i have heard of that! and its awesome! anywho lets hope i get it soon cuz i am SICK of these picture-less posts! sick of it!

commit to it!

so i know im a little late on the new years resolutions lists BUT i came across this daily pep talk and felt quite inspired! heres the pep talk:

Commit to it.

Pep Talk: You want to do it. You dream of doing it. You spend time (that maybe should be spent doing other things) thinking of doing it. I’m not talking about sex… well, not necessarily. I’m talking about that change you want to make and that trip you want to take and that life you want to lead. Start now. Make a commitment to your dreams and they’ll come true. Put aside a quarter today and soon you’ll have a dollar, then a thousand. Start a dating profile and soon people will be asking you out. If you want to go somewhere, go. There are no limits on you.

Today remind yourself: Commit to it.

i LOVE this! i do this all the time! thinking how cool it would be if i did this or did that! and i do have my bucket list with my best friend ashley but I wanted some personal goals and i WILL accomplish them. the are reasonable, beneficial, and necessary. and here they are:

1. FIX my posture, not work on.. not improve.. FIX!

2. work out twice a week.. not to lose weight.. but to be healthy and feel good about myself. this ALSO helps goal #1 ;) double wammy.

3. save more money. at least $20 a month. i know this sounds small but I am a college student with NO job! 20 is a good step for me.. and right now its more about establishing the habit of saving than the actual amount.

4. get a summer job! no more laying around the house, tanning by the pool every day, sleeping in till noon summer days. its not productive and though it may sound like bliss.. it.is.boring. and having a job would allow me to.... Save More Money! =)

5. text less. call more. texting is lame. it lacks human connection which is something i think is seriously affecting our generation. am i alone in that? i mean there are some seriously socially awkward people and i can't help but think texting, instant messaging, fbook, etc has helped to contribute to that.

welp thats all i've got so far! and i WILL accomplish them! =)) i hope everyone has a wonderful friday! yayyy end of the week!

1. I am LOVING my new super dark skinny jeans from target and forever21. boots and skinny jeans is my new outfit of choice!

2. i am loving the champagne i had NYE.. i thought i didn't like champagne but this is a dessert champagne and its soooo sweet and good! and i found this picture of little bottles for wedding favors! how cute!!

3. i am really really loving that i bought a new book on amazon today for 99 cents! =)) shipping was 2.95 but still technically... it was 99 cents!! im excited to have a new book to read too! has anyone read it? i hope its good!

4. im loving that i bought my niece brookelynn this really cute outfit today! its so adorable! if you didn't know i am seriously in love with cardigans and i got her this little outfit w/ a cardigan! so cute!

when it rains...it pours!

out of all the days of my life.. yesterday was not one of the best!

Sunday night i was up late browsing for new books on barnes and noble since i finished The Help by Katherine Sockett and it was sooooo good! as i was browsing all of the sudden my computer beeps and goes black. i thought huh.. thats weird.. it couldn't have died because its plugged in. so i take the battery out and put it back in.. it wont turn on.. i plug it in a different outlet.. still nothing. now im freaking out. i had JUST taken all the pics off of my memory card and put them on my computer!

just.my.luck.

so the next day my dad calls his computer friend who says it sounds like a bad motherboard WHICH costs more to replace than to buy a new computer BUT he can get all my files off my computer.. thank.goodness. so we drive the computer to hartwell to discover yes.. my computer is a goner. rip computer. i almost shed a tear! what in the world was i gonna do when i had to go back to school the NEXT day??

just to add insult to injury, lately my phone has been acting funny.. not sending messages, sending messages full of numbers, locking up..etc. so i called verizon for a replacement. well what do you know.. on the way home from hartwell my phone turns off and WONT TURN BACK ON! i was irate. seriously fuming. i cant go to school with NO computer and NO phone! is this a joke???

LUCKILY today really looked up! wes came to my rescue and is letting me borrow his netbook while we look for a new laptop and some miracle was performed last night because my new phone arrived in the mail THIS MORNING! and i called yesterday! i couldn't believe it! thank you verizon! =)

on top of this.. i got to see my niece brookelynn before I left and she is in the LAST stages of NICU and should be home by the end of this week! afterwards my sister and I went to RedLobster! I hate seafood but RL has THE BEST chicken alfredo! and those biscuits are to die for. yum-o.

i ALSO found a reallllyyy amazing pair of skinny jeans at Forever 21. They were only 9.50.... 9.50! and they fit like a glove. you should seriously go get some. they're...pretty cool!

last but not least.. its back to school tomorrow! im gonna try really hard to keep up blogging every other day or every 2 days! i am just so busy! with 9 classes, practicing, and homework it doesnt leave me much time! but im excited to have almost 20 followers! haha yay! so i want to keep it up so i have more!


anyway. im sorry for this very wordy and picture lacking post! i just had to get all that out! =) good luck to everyone who starts classes this week!
